Oversee the day to day running of payrolls by Payroll Administrators

  • Act as a contact for new and existing customers with regard to payroll related issues
  • Monitor the performance of the Payroll Team
  • Manage the bureau office in the absence of the Bureau Manager
  • Liaise with customers with regard to service requirements and problem resolution
  • Liaise with Finance regarding customer and office information
  • Maintain a working knowledge of software, hardware and other developments that may affect outsourcing customers.
  • Maintain a working environment conducive to teamwork.
  • Train and mentor the Payroll Team members
  • Assist the Bureau Manager appraising staff in accordance with the Appraisal Policy
Roles and responsibilities
  • Supervise the production of payroll for new and existing outsourcing customer accounts
  • Assist in ensuring the KPI initiative is cascaded through the payroll team
  • Assist in meeting the corporate objectives as set out by the KPI initiative
  • Assist and comply with the company quality system and workplace health and safety measures
Skills and qualifications
  • Ability to effectively lead and mentor a multi skilled team
  • Demonstrate time management skills
  • Demonstrate Payroll knowledge, preferably in an outsourcing environment, sufficient to complete year end processes
  • Demonstrate strong ichris and general IT systems knowledge
  • Demonstrate negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Flexibility in responding to changing demands
  • At least 5 years relevant industry experience
  • Formal qualifications: relevant industry desired but not essential
